The 25th Singapore Environmental Achievement Awards (SEAA) marked a quarter-century of recognising outstanding contributions to environmental sustainability. Presented by the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, Ms. Grace Fu, on 21 Aug 2024, the awards honour organisations that lead the charge in sustainable practices.
Singapore, 17 August 2023 – Twelve organisations from across the region are in the spotlight for their commitment to sustainable business practices. The 24th Singapore Environmental Achievement Awards (SEAA), organised by the Singapore Environment Council (SEC), took place at the Pan Pacific Orchard and was attended by 300 participants. This event recognises the innovation efforts of businesses as they contribute to a more sustainable future in the Asia Pacific region.
Producers and regulators must step up in their role to work toward better management of Singapore’s packaging waste, says a report from Singapore Environment Council (SEC). Unveiling key findings from the ‘Unlocking Opportunities for Sustainable Packaging in Singapore’ report, the study highlighted factors such as research and development (R&D), implementation of policies, and closing the gaps in waste collection as key factors in achieving zero waste in packaging.
