Conference Day 2022
Date: Tuesday, 23rd August
Location: Polaris Ballroom, Novotel Singapore on Stevens
Over and above the illustrious glitter of the awards, the annual Conference Day has also been an exciting platform for industry experts, business leaders and respected academia to come together to share insights on environmental issues. The conference will be where SEC releases the findings of our research, with themes relating to the study being addressed over panel discussions and presentations by various thought leaders.
Centered around the circular economy, the theme for this year’s conference is “Packaging Waste: Unlocking Opportunities for Sustainable Packaging in Singapore” and will feature the findings of our seminal study carried out in collaboration with our strategic partner KPMG.
In recent years, the term ‘plastics’ has become somewhat of a rallying call in driving advocacy efforts against the environmental impact of plastic waste on a global scale. Designed as a cyclical closed-loop system that minimises excess, the shift toward a more circular economy model presents the most opportunities for extracting value from packaging waste and most importantly, keeping it out of the environment.
Study on Packaging Waste
• Research findings on the issue of packaging waste in Singapore
• Consumer survey results and key findings
• Understanding the impact of the Mandatory Packaging Reporting
Panel Discussion & Sharing
• Hear from industry leaders and experts on green opportunities
• Explore ideas and join the conversations on how businesses can overcome challenges
• Networking opportunities
Panel Speaker Line Up for 2022
Hear from our panel of experts as they share their perspectives and insights on what it would take for Singapore to fully transition towards a circular economy model for plastic waste.
