The criterion refers to the ESG policies, management systems and processes that the organization has in place to manage material environmental, social and governance risks that are specific or priority to the organization. The organization should define how ESG or environmental initiatives are monitored, practised and managed.
Performance
The criterion refers to the measurements, targets and/or metrics that the organization has in place to monitor, review and manage ESG or environmental performance. The organization should disclose performance-based ESG measures such as resource consumption levels, greenhouse gases emissions reduction, capacity building to enhance ESG awareness and, on the whole, avoid harm to our society and the environment, and increase benefit to stakeholders.
Leadership & Advocacy
The criterion should highlight the commitment and involvement of the Board and C-suite in an organization to promote their ESG vision, strategy and framework internally, in the organization, and externally, towards its customers and the local community. The organization should define their ESG policies, awareness and initiatives to support the above.
Award Category Specific
The criterion is specific to the category that the organization applies for to evaluate the organization’s ESG or environmental performance. The organization should define their achievements, that are relevant to the award category. It should be demonstrated in the initiatives or processes that the organization has put in place to manage the relationship between the full range of its business activities and their associated environmental risks, impact and areas of opportunities.
