Best 3R Awards
The 3R Awards (based on the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) recognise and reinforce the positive environmental effects which students and teachers learn about.
Formerly managed by the National Environment Agency (NEA) the award has since 2013 been administered by SEC. Later in 2016, the 3R Awards was then fully integrated into the SGA framework and continues to encourage everyone in schools to inculcate better waste management and enhanced recycling.
The winner of the ‘Best 3R Award’ will be determined directly from the schools’ SGA submission and will be based on a similar scoring system as the SGA Part A Questionaire.
Schools who have chosen to focus on Sustainable Living – Saving Resources for their environmental outreach project will stand a higher chance of achieving this title which recognises the overall best performance in the area of 3Rs. This award will only be awarded to one school per education level (i.e. pre-school, primary, secondary, etc.).
