These awards encourage good corporate citizenship and environmental stewardship by businesses. The Committee will be strategically involved in the evaluation and selection of the winners for all award categories, based on the recommendations put forth by the Assessment Committee. The Chairman of the Steering Committee gives direction to the Committee and ensure that a balanced and fair viewpoint is taken in the course of determining the SEAA winners.<\/p><p><strong><u>ASSESSMENT COMMITTEE<\/u><\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Role of Assessment Committee:<\/strong><\/p><p>The Assessment Committee consists of professionals and leaders within the sustainability sector. It also takes into consideration the organisation\u2019s environmental impact and positive influence over its surrounding communities.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"ea-card sp-ea-single\"><h3 class=\"ea-header\"><a class=\"collapsed\" id=\"ea-header-38666\" role=\"button\" data-sptoggle=\"spcollapse\" data-sptarget=\"#collapse38666\" aria-controls=\"collapse38666\" href=\"#\" aria-expanded=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\"><i aria-hidden=\"true\" role=\"presentation\" class=\"ea-expand-icon eap-icon-ea-expand-plus\"><\/i> Does every company win an award or a merit award?<\/a><\/h3><div class=\"sp-collapse spcollapse spcollapse\" id=\"collapse38666\" data-parent=\"#sp-ea-3866\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"ea-header-38666\"> <div class=\"ea-body\"><p>Only the highest ranked company in each category receives an award.
